A fascinating personal account by Bill Jewell the British Special Duties Submarine Commander of HMS Seraph about his activities in the Mediterranean and Straits of Gibraltar in the lead up to Operation TORCH. Jewell mentions his role in conveying Generals Mark Clark and Lemnitzer on the North African coast and rescuing Genral Henri Giraud from the South of France. He also describes his involvement in Operation MINCEMEAT The Man Who Never Was. The whole interview is included for completeness in the Archive.
