Ian Easton was an officer with 803 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm abroad HMS Ark Royal in operations in the Mediterranean. He talks about retaliatory attacks on Gibraltar following the sinking of the Vichy French Fleet and how ex-pats fleeing France entered Gibraltar causing overcrowding and putting a strain on resources. He cites how the attacks on Gibraltar were largely ineffective. A short but interesting account.
