In this short extract, Sydney Smith talks about the pro-German attitude of the Spanish. He recalls the merchant ship run from Huelva down to Gibraltar, and the smuggling of Allied PoWs, a leg in a much longer route through Europe down to Gibraltar and then out back to UK.
